National Batik Clothing day set by the President of
Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono falls on October 2, in which all the people
of Indonesia are encouraged to wear batik on that day. This is an effort to
preserve the world's cultural heritage who was born in Indonesia.
Batik clothing not only fit worn by people of Indonesia, the country has begun to recognize another party and wear batik. Especially after some of the world's leaders helped popularize Batik Indonesia, the figures are:
1. Nelson Mandela
Former South African president's falling in love with batik clothing when he was
to Bogor to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation in 1994. Since then, Madiba (Mandela's nickname for) batik and Nelson Mandela as inseparable, he almost always wore batik, including people in his cabinet.

3. U.S. President Barack Obama looks elegant wearing a green
batik clothing, at a gala dinner Summit (Summit) 19 in Nusa Dua, Bali,
Indonesia on 11 November 2011.
Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, known to be very interested in
the art of batik in Indonesia. Mother Ann had some batik collection from various
parts of Indonesia, and the collection is ever on display in several regions in
the U.S. and Malaysia.
